- KivaFrames
- Probably you've
got a collection of photographs at home, in standard
grocery-store sizes. And now that you can get high
quality prints on cheap printers from your digital
camera, your collection is probably growing. Most
likely, the photos are just lying, festering quietly,
in some dark drawer or closet in a seldom-visited part
of your home. Go dig 'em out, and look through them;
aren't some good enough to be worth hanging on the
wall? Or putting in a desktop frame? Now all you need
is some elegant, cost-effective frames to mount them
in.

- The frames
available from your friendly local Target or photo
store might suit you fine, but if you're interested in
something a little different take a look at our
KivaFrames. Like the GardenTowns products, KivaFrames
is a downloadable .pdf file, but instead of providing
instructions on how to build scale model buildings,
it's a collection of detailed info on how to build
personalised, interesting photo frames. We suggest the
use of foamboard as the main structural medium,
covered with your choice of fabric (perhaps with some
padding interposed for that softer look); this makes
the frames stout enough for use with normal-sized
photos while still being very simple to construct.

a Simple Three-Step Process

- We provide two versions of our
KivaFrames product. One version is completely free,
but cannot be printed. The other version can be
printed, but you must buy a password (which you do
online, with your credit card, using secure
transactions) before you can open the product. This
allows you to inspect the product before you spend
money.

- Step One:
Download the Free Trial Unprintable
Version:
- So to obtain the Frames
product, first download the free version from the
yellow table below, and look at it on your computer to
see if it suits your needs.

- Step Two:
Download the Password-Protected Printable
version:
- If it does, then download the
printable version from the blue table
below.

- Step Three:
Purchase the password online:
- When you have safely downloaded
it, click on the Buy Password link in the table.
You'll be taken to a page which will let you buy any
of Kiva Designs products. Choose the correct product,
and follow the instructions. After you have paid for
the product, you will be emailed a password. Open the
downloaded product and, when asked, type in the
password provided. Since the password is quite long,
you may want to 'copy' the password from the email and
'paste' it into the password box. The documet will
then open, and you can print it.

- Downloading
- If you're new
to this stuff and don't know how to download, click

to get some guidance from our Downloading Hints

- But the basics
are simple: just click on the name of the product you
want (the names are the blue, underlined text in the
tables below).
- Your browser
will then start downloading the product, which is in
Adobe Acrobat pdf format. Once the whole file is
downloaded,your browser will probably start the free
Acrobat Reader program, which will display the file
and which will let you print it.

already have the free Acrobat Reader product which
will let you read and print the files, but if not you
can download it from Adobe's site here.
Choose the version that matches your computer and
operating system. Note: you must use Acrobat Reader
4; version 3 may not work for some
files.
